The idea is to have all on your hard disk when you install the *-doc packages. These aren't quite equivalent. For packages in contrib which depend on the sun compiler, VM and classes they can't really depend...

setLong() bug in jdbc for db2 connect? [alt.comp.lang.java]
Date: Dec 3, 2006 07:04 ... or so. I'm using prepared statements, and the setLong method has proven unreliable for both parameters and insert values, not finding search filters or attempting to insert nulls, etc. This has forced me to use setDouble or setBigDecimal to get around it, but I'd prefer to use setLong where appropriate. I'm working with jdk 1.4.something on a Windows 2000 platform. Any ideas?

Date: Feb 26, 2007 07:10 ... want to be packaged. So please, feel free to add your request to the page. And of course, also feel free to help us make Java rocking on Debian ;) What might be an idea too is to add comments about the missing dependencies a new package needs. Thats no MUST but a nice to have. This makes it easier to solve packaging requests. Cheers, Michael -- .''`. | Michael Koch <...

Re: Wiki page for requested packages [linux.debian.maint.java]
Date: Feb 26, 2007 12:30 ... that wiki page now, without risk of getting outdated. But feel free to have a wiki page, with a link to the BTS perhaps. We want to make more people contribute the Java team in any possible way and if the this page in the wiki helps its a good idea. Filing RFPs and filling out some associated information is a very good way of contributing, someone has to do that anyway... Marcus

Re: maven2 for Debian [linux.debian.maint.java]
Date: Mar 4, 2007 14:40 ... to build for Debian. The philosophy of Maven is not the same as Debian and we need to think twice to really integrate it in Debian and how deep we want it to be integrated (ideas welcome). I'd like something like a maven repository maintained by Debian Developers (all our debian-java packages installable by maven). I hope Michael and I answer your questions. -- Arnaud Vandyck
